Online Card Class - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Backgrounds - Graffiti Stamping - It's Your Day

Happy Monday Friends,
Today's card features the Graffiti Stamping Technique and is a fabulous way to keep your card CAS.  I inlaid the word Happy and then stamped the other word stamps.  It is a fun technique, only thing was I had stamp sets all over the place trying to find the right word combinations to use. LOL  You definitely need a Stamp-a-ma-jig for this technique unless you are using all clear stamps.  I like how it came together, a technique I would do again.

Supplies:
Stamps: WPlus9 A Whole Lotta Happy, S/U's Tag It, Bring On the Cake, Cool Kid
Card: Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Stazon Black
Finishing Touches: Candy Dots
Cool Tools: Big Shot, WPlus9 Happy Dies, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dble Sided Tape, Zig Glue Pen
Thanks for visiting today.

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Faux Effects - Masking - Banners

Happy Weekend Everyone,
For today's post I have two cards showing another way to do the Masking Technique on one layer cards. I tried a background stamp and a large flower stamp for the White embossing, unfortunately my Masking Medium is old and did not seal the edges well when I coloured them in.  I think the first one was more successful and I was able to add more colour in the spaces.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Regarding Dahlias, My Favourite Things Contemporary Roses
Card: Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Stazon Black,
Markers: Pretty In Pink, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Masking Medium, Embossing Buddy, White E/Powder, Sizzix Oval Framelit Dies, Sizzix Banners Framelit Dies, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Paisley Prints, My Favourite Things Contemporary Roses
Card: Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Stazon Black
Markers: Baja Breeze, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Cool Caribbean, Marina Mist, Bermuda Bay, Elegant Eggplant, Bashful Blue
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Masking Medium, Embossing Buddy, White E/Powder, Sizzix Oval Framelit Dies, Sizzix Banners Framelit Dies, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Optical Illusion - Masking - Spring Bouquet

Happy Friday Everyone,
One of the ways to create Optical Illusion is to use Masking. For today's card I masked out all of the card except for the heart shape and then stamped around the edges using a few smaller images which appear to be fashionable at the moment, only thing is some of these Papertrey stamps would be considered ancient in stamping circles. LOL.

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink With All My Heart, Beautiful Blooms, Green Thumb, S/U's Elementary Elegance
Ink: Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Inks - Worn Lipstick, Barn Door, Shabby Shutters, Dried Marigold, Tea Dye, Mustard Seed, Stazon Black
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Papertrey Ink Heart Die, Masking Medium, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Hope your enjoying my attempts to keep things Clean and Simple as much as I am.  Thanks for dropping in today.

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Die Cut Inlay Technique - Happy Birthday

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Online Card Class that I won on Kathy Racoosin's blog (Thanks so much Kathy!), just by leaving a comment.  I am so thrilled to be doing the classes and so far I have gained some excellent and very inspiring ideas and it's only Day 2.
For today's card I have tried the Faux Effects Die Cut Inlay Technique and I found it easier than I thought, although I did have some very tiny, teeny pieces to find. The Shimmer Mist ended up very rustic but I think it adds to the overall effect. I am really happy with how my card came together, hope you like it.

Supplies:
Stamps: Simon Says Happy 3 x 4 Clear Set
Card and Papers: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Champagne Glimmer Mist, Frost White Glimmer Mist
Finishing Touches: Silver Sequins
Cool Tools: Big Shot, My Favourite Things Pierced Circle Dies, Simon Says Happy Die, Simon Says Fresh Daisies Die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Double Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Tombow Multi Purpose Glue
Thanks for stopping by today.

Virginia's View Challenge #1 - Rev It Up

Hi Friends,
There's a new Challenge in town, called Virginia's View.  Virginia Lu's first challenge is challenging us to do some Water Colouring.  I used Markers on a Stamping Block to do my Water Colouring for the background and inside the card. The technique is a very simple one where you colour the block with your markers and then spritz it quite liberally and place it on your card until all the moisture is soaked up.  I then stamped with Stazon Black. I also stamped a flat white brad with the inside part of the wheel.

Thanks to Dr. John this card was awarded a Top 10 Favourite at Virginia's View Challenge
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Rev Up The Fun
Card and Papers: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Basic Black, Smokey Slate
Ink: Stazon Black
Markers: Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate, Basic Grey
Finishing Touches: 5/8" S/U Brads
Cool Tools: Large Clear Stamping Block, Mister, Water, Cutter Tool, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Martha Stewart Screw Punch, Mat Pack, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
