Pat Carr's Camp Avalon May 2016 - Tunnel Card #2

Hi there,
I attended Pat Carr's Camp Avalon a couple of weeks ago at Toodyay.  We made 24 Projects and had a great time catching up with old and new friends. This was the first Tunnel Card I designed but I found that the bold sentiment inside the tunnel showed through the white card onto the front and I was not happy with that so I changed it to a coloured front and you can find that card in yesterday's post here.  Otherwise I think it is very pretty made in these colours, what do you think?

Pat Carr's Camp Avalon May 2016 - Wax Paper Emboss Resist Technique

Hi there,
I attended Pat Carr's Camp Avalon a couple of weeks ago at Toodyay.  This is one of my Shoe Box projects that I created for the camp.  I used waxed paper and the Sizzix Spring Bouquet embossing folder for the emboss resist technique for the background. You emboss the wax paper with the embossing folder and then iron the pattern (iron set to dry ironing) onto the card inside a piece of copy paper and the wax transfers to the card.  Then you sponge ink over the card and your pattern magically appears.  Very easy technique to do.  I faded the sponging for the solid part of the butterfly looking for more dimension.  The scalloped edge was made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.

Pat Carr's Camp Avalon May 2016 - Bleached Card

I attended Pat Carr's Camp Avalon a couple of weeks ago at Toodyay.  We made 24 Projects and had a great time catching up with old and new friends. Card designed by Jenny Chilton. The focal point of this card is Soft Suede, the image is stamped and embossed with Black embossing powder and then painted with Bleach to achieve the colour variation.  The stamens where coloured in with a marker once the bleach had dried.

Merry Monday #210 - Peace Joy Love

Hi folks,
It's Monday and time for a new Challenge at Merry Monday. Bonnie is challenging us to Use the Words Peace, Joy and/or Love on our Christmas cards.  I stamped the background with the snowflakes using Wisteria Wonder and stamped the sentiment using Elegant Eggplant.  The Dove was Silver embossed and fussy cut and I stamped it on the inside of the card too.  I finished off with some Silver Sequins and the Silver Foil mat.

** Please note ** The Merry Makers will be taking the months of July and August off to enjoy some relax time with family and friends over the Northern summer. We will return the first Monday in September **
