CAS Mix Up Challenge - August 2022 - Emboss Resist - Corner Garden

Hello Stampers,

This month's challenge features the Emboss Resist Technique and Nancy is our Hostess.  We Welcome Brenda as our Guest Designer.  

To start my card I followed Kristina Werner's Video and stamped with Versamark and White Heat Embossed the Corner Garden stamp from Stampin" Up! on Water coloured card.  I then loosely added colour and when it was dry I used my Aqua Painter to highlight the flowers and leaves with more colour and dimension.  The Sentiment was stamped with Versamark and Gold heat embossed.  I finished off the inside by partially stamping the Corner Garden stamp, and heat embossed with White E/Powder and using the same Water colour technique.

Heartkids Fundraiser in Memory of Marthea Widdicombe - Project #1

Hello Friends,

On the 3rd of April 2022 I attended a Fundraiser in Memory of Marthea Widdicombe who passed last year.  The Fundraiser was organised by Pat Carr with help from a number of friends from the stamping  community.  Marthea loved her stamping and was collecting a very large number of products in preparation for her Retirement.  When Marthea passed her Family was presented with the difficulty of disposing of all the items she had purchased and Pat along with Dale, Marthea's stamping buddy offered to organise a Fundraiser that could be held to raise funds for a worthy cause.  The Family agreed and over 70 Ladies attended and $10,078.00 was raised for Heartkids.  We made 8 cards on the day, all prepared from product that Marthea had bought and over the next few days I will post the cards we made.  There was also more stamps, designer paper, dies and embossing folders etc. that could be purchased, plus raffles and games that helped to raise the money.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder July 2022 - Things With Wings - Pink Robin

Hi Stampers,

Todays post is a reminder that you have until the 24th of July to join us for this month's challenge hosted by Linda.  

I stamped the bird and water coloured it using Markers and an Aqua Painter, made a mess on the first image and did it again and ended up Fussy Cutting both images using the Bird's head and full body of the second image mounting the head on Dimensionals.  The Frame was dry embossed and I added a fine border using Night of Navy.  The Sentiment was White embossed on Black card and mounted with Foam tape.  For the inside I stamped part of a Bird image and water coloured it to match the front of my card.

Celisa's 50th Birthday

Hello Friends,

Our Niece Celisa turned 50 on the 16th June.  This is the card we gave her which I stepped up a bit by adding the Gold Foil 50 stacked on whisper white card and some Splatters of Gold Ink.  This card was used for the July CAS Mix Up Challenge.  I Loosely water coloured the flowers on Whisper White card, and used Water coloured card for the Dragonfly and then Fussy cut it and attached using Dimensionals.  The Sentiment was stamped and then edged with the black ink border for some more dimension.
